How does a video wall work?
Think of a video wall as a matrix of rows and columns - 2x2, 3x3 or 2x4, for example. The software splits one large image or video into pieces according to this matrix, and each screen shows only the piece that belongs to it.
Bezel compensation
The physical frame (bezel) between screens can create a slight visual offset. SignOS's video wall engine factors in bezel width and scales the content accordingly, so transitions look more natural across panels.
Content synchronization
The most critical part of a video wall is that every screen shows the exact same frame at the exact same time. SignOS's cloud-based playback engine sends timed playback commands to every screen in the matrix to keep them in sync.
Which hardware fits?
Video wall installs are typically built with narrow-bezel commercial Samsung displays, but SignOS's multi-platform support (Tizen, Android, Windows) also enables video wall setups across mixed hardware fleets.
