The vast majority of commercial displays in retail, hospitality and offices run on Samsung's Tizen / SSSP (Samsung Smart Signage Platform). As an official Samsung partner, SignOS installs directly as an app on the display itself - no separate media player box required.
1. Confirm the display is a commercial (SSSP) Tizen model
Consumer Smart TVs and commercial SSSP displays use different app stores. SignOS is compatible with SSSP 4 and above.
2. Install the SignOS app
- Open the Apps / LFD Hub menu from the remote.
- Search for and install SignOS Digital Signage.
- Launch the app - an 8-character pairing code will appear on screen.
3. Pair the display in the SignOS dashboard
In your signosds.com dashboard, go to Add Screen > Samsung Tizen, type in the code (or scan the QR code with your phone). Once paired, the display automatically starts playing the playlist assigned to it.
4. Set the app as the default source
Set SignOS as the default input source on the commercial display so it launches automatically after a power outage, instead of sitting on a blank screen.
Common issues
No pairing code showing? Check the network connection (wired or Wi-Fi). Code shows but no content plays? Re-check the scheduling and the playlist assigned to that screen in the dashboard.
