Comparison Samsung VXT Samsung Tizen LG webOS Amazon Signage Android

Quick answer

  • Choose Samsung VXT if your network is entirely Samsung displays, you want hardware and software from the same vendor, and a per-screen subscription fits your budget.
  • Choose SignOS if you run mixed hardware (Samsung, LG webOS, Amazon Signage, Android), want to control the cost per screen, or want the dashboard and apps in your own language.

What Samsung VXT does well

Samsung VXT is Samsung's own cloud signage platform. Its main strength is native integration with Samsung commercial displays, with hardware and software from one vendor. For a large Samsung-only rollout in a supported market, that matters: certified devices, Samsung support channels and a predictable upgrade path.

Where Samsung VXT may not fit

  • Device scope. VXT is built around Samsung displays. Other screens are supported through an Android app, so check your exact models against Samsung's current compatibility list before you buy.
  • Price. VXT is licensed per screen on a subscription. Resellers list plans starting around 20 USD per screen per month, and one reseller lists the P Series Pro one-month license at about 40 USD. Compare the twelve-month total for your number of screens.
  • Regional availability and support. VXT's support and reseller network is concentrated in the United States. If you are in Turkey or another country, confirm before you buy that local support, the mobile app and the sign-up process work for you.
  • Account sign-up. If sign-up asks for an SMS code and the code never reaches your country, you cannot finish setup. Test this with your own phone number before you commit.

Where SignOS fits

  • Mixed hardware on one dashboard: Samsung Tizen / SSSP (version 4 and above), LG webOS, Amazon Signage Stick and Amazon Signage Display, and Android screens.
  • No player license: you do not pay a separate fee per player. See our player licensing comparison.
  • Apps included: Instagram, YouTube, PDF, Excel, Word and API content come built in. See built-in apps.
  • Interface in 10 languages, with a browser-based dashboard you can open from any computer or phone.
  • SignOS Edge: a dedicated hardware player option for locations that need local playback is coming soon.

Limits of SignOS you should know

  • Samsung support requires Tizen / SSSP version 4 or newer. We target commercial displays, not consumer TVs.
  • Amazon Signage Display is currently sold only in the US. Amazon lists the Amazon Signage Stick for the US and Europe.

Decide in three steps

  1. List your screens by brand and model, and check each one against the vendor's current compatibility list.
  2. Calculate the twelve-month cost for your screen count on each platform, including any per-player license.
  3. Run a trial in your own country, with your own phone number, before you buy.
