Most digital signage stops the moment the internet does. For a restaurant menu, a store window or a lobby screen, that means a blank display until the connection returns. SignOS Edge, powered by SignOS Digital Signage, is designed to solve exactly that. It is coming soon.
What is SignOS Edge?
SignOS Edge is a small hardware player. It connects to your screen over HDMI, downloads your playlists and keeps playing them locally. The screen shows your content even when the network is unavailable.
Hybrid by design
Edge is not a separate product that you have to manage on its own. It works together with the SignOS cloud system, so you manage every screen from the same dashboard: cloud-connected displays on Samsung Tizen / SSSP, LG webOS and Android, and Edge-powered screens where you need local playback. You do not pay for a second platform to run both.
Why it matters
- Playback continues during outages. A short internet drop does not turn your screen black.
- One dashboard. Schedules, playlists and content are managed in the same place for every screen.
- Fits where a built-in player is not an option. Some screens or locations need a dedicated player box instead of an app on the display.
- No extra platform cost. Edge is part of the SignOS system, not an add-on platform.
Launch

Until then
