OptiSign is a digital signage platform that many small teams try first, mainly for its free tier and simple setup. If you are choosing between OptiSign and SignOS, four things matter most: price per screen, what the free plan allows, which devices you can run it on, and what is included.
OptiSign's pricing
Based on public third-party pricing summaries, OptiSign's paid plans run roughly from 10 to 45 USD per screen per month, with lower rates on annual billing. A free plan covers up to three screens, and screens on that plan show OptiSign branding. Tier names and prices differ between sources, so check OptiSign's own pricing page before you budget.
Device support: verify before you buy
OptiSign's free plan is commonly described as covering its own player on Windows, Linux and Raspberry Pi devices. Support for Android, LG webOS and Samsung Tizen varies by plan and player, and we could not confirm full webOS and Tizen support from public sources. Ask OptiSign directly for the exact list for your models.
Where SignOS is different
- Native apps on the display: Samsung Tizen / SSSP 4 and newer, LG webOS, Android, and Amazon Signage Stick and Display, with no separate media box.
- No player license: SignOS does not charge a separate fee per player. Monthly license from 209 TL (≈ 4.2 USD).
- Apps included: Instagram, YouTube, PDF, Excel, Word and API content are built in. See built-in apps.
- Edge is coming soon: a hardware player for locations that need local playback, working together with the SignOS cloud.
What to check before you choose
- The twelve-month cost for your screen count, including any per-player charges.
- Whether you need more than three screens on a free plan.
Limits of SignOS
- Samsung support requires Tizen / SSSP 4 or newer; we target commercial displays.
- Amazon Signage Display is currently sold in the US only.
